New Nature Park Saves Kazakh Wildlife

With Norwegian support the World Wildlife Fund has succeeded in establishing a protected nature area covering half the size of Luxembourg. The new protected nature park will be the home of the threatened Bukhara deer and Argali sheep.

Small arms in Kazakhstan – launch of Norwegian-funded report

On 1 June 2012 the report “Blue skies and dark clouds: Kazakhstan and small arms” was launched at the Military and Strategic Studies Centre in Astana. The report has been written by the Small Arms Survey at the Geneva Institute of International and Development Studies, and was financed by the Norwegian Government.
